Wendougee LITA BA your end-game espresso machine
There's a particular quiet to the morning when you're the first one awake. The grinder hums. Steam rises before the city does.
This is the hour the home barista lives for. A new bean. A finer grind. A profile someone shared at midnight. You pull the shot, you taste, you note, you wait for tomorrow.
The setup matters. The Wendougee LITA sits on the counter like sculpture matte painted stainless steel, a walnut wood paddle for the amazing tactile feeling under your hand, pressure you can profile and flow you can control. The technology lives quietly inside the app.
Guests always notice. The conversation starts there, and always finds its way back to the coffee in the cup.

Group Head
Saturated 316L stainless group head
The brew boiler and the group head on the Wendougee LITA are a single machined block of 316L stainless steel. The same design commercial La Marzocco machines use. Because the group is part of the boiler instead of being heated through it from outside, there's no cooling flush before the first shot. Brew temperature holds steady across back-to-back pulls, which is what you need if you're dialling in a light roast across three or four shots in a session.

Dual Boilers
0.8 L steam boiler, 0.35 L brew boiler
On the Wendougee LITA there is two stainless boilers, each with its own PID controller. The steam boiler can go up to 2.5 bar at 140°, that's a commercial level of steam pressure in compact and small espresso machine. The 0.35 L brew boiler runs at brew temperature and feeds the saturated group directly. Incoming cold water runs around the hot steam boiler before it reaches the brew side, so the brew temperature doesn't drop every time you refill the tank.

Pressure Sensor
German WIKA Pressure Sensor
WIKA is the sensor most commercial espresso machine builders reach for when they need readings they can trust. On the Wendougee LITA BA it sits inline with the group and feeds live pressure data back to the E-bar app every few milliseconds, and the pump correct itself mid-shot. hence the choice of a brand with a more than 75-year track record in industrial instrumentation.

Flow Meter
Italian GICAR Flow meter for volume control.
The GICAR flow meter in Wendougee LITA BA sits inline with the group and counts every millilitre of water that passes through it. That real-time data feeds the E-bar app as you pull, showing you exactly how much liquid has left the group head and how fast it's flowing. Set a target volume per profile and the LITA BA cuts the shot automatically when it hits the number, no scale required for a repeatable yield.

Dual Pump
Two electromagnetic vibratory pumps
Two vibratory pumps.on the Wendougee LITA BA,LA Each runs independently under software control, with pressure adjustable in 0.1-bar increments across the full 0 to 9 bar range. Two pumps instead of one means the machine can hold a target pressure precisely even as the puck's resistance changes during the shot, the pumps correct each other, feeding off the WIKA sensor's live readings.

screen
Screen
The built-in small screen on the front of the Wendougee LITA. It provide you with all the necessary and essential information, like brew temp, steam temp, whether the machine's actually ready to pull a shot, and how long the current shot's been running. so you can pull a great espresso without reaching for your phone or tablet.

App Controled
Pressure and flow profiling in the E-bar app
Build a profile curve in the Wendougee E-bar app on IOS or Android for Wendougee LITA BA, pre-infusion ramp, pressure plateau, declining tail, whatever the coffee wants. Save the profile under the bean it's Dialed for. The app shows live pressure, flow, and temperature graphs as the shot pulls, so you can see exactly where your curve tracked and where it missed. Share finished profiles to the community tab, pull other people's down, tweak them to your water and grinder. Firmware updates arrive over-the-air.

Direct control
Intelligent Disc to control and start saved profile
The built-in small screen on the front of the Wendougee LITA. It provide you with all the necessary and essential information, like brew temp, steam temp, whether the machine's actually ready to pull a shot, and how long the current shot's been running. Simply slide or tap to modulate the pressure curve and shot flow as you pull the espresso without opening the app every time you want to try a new profile.

Bluetooth Connectivity
Pairs with BOOKOO scales and MILO grinders
The Wendougee LITA BA talks to BOOKOO Themis Mini, BOOKOO Themis Ultra, and Acaia Lunar(not supported yet) scales over Bluetooth and cuts the shot automatically at your target weight, no watching the scale, no reaching for the paddle. It also pairs with Wendougee MILO Play, MILO II Grinders, so grind size syncs to each saved profile. Change bean, change profile, grind comes with it. Less dial-in, more drinking.

Robust Construction
Commercial-grade build
the Wendougee LITA made of full Coated cast steel body, 22 kg on the counter, copper pipework inside. The chassis is built to the same mechanical standard you'd see on a commercial machine, in a 261 mm wide footprint. Lift the lid and you can see it, thick-walled boilers, clean routing, no flimsy plastic where metal ought to be. Open the side panels and the inside is as serviceable as the outside is clean. The kind of machine that earns its place on the counter rather than just occupying it.

Needle valve
Needle valve for max flow
A small access hole on the top of the Wendougee LITA machine sits directly above the needle valve. Open it with a flat-head screwdriver to raise or lower the maximum flow rate the group can push through the puck. The factory setting is 12 ml per second, which suits most workflows, drop it for slower pours on lighter roasts, leave it alone for everyday espresso. It's hardware control over a limit that most machines hide behind software.

Steam Wand
Cool-touch steam wand, four-hole tip
the Wendougee LITA Comes with 0.8 L insulated steam boiler feeds a cool-touch wand with enough power to texture a 500 ml jug of milk for two flat whites without drawing breath. Cool-touch means the wand shell stays safe to grip seconds after steaming, which matters if you pull back-to-back drinks.
What makes Wendougee engineering different
Most prosumer espresso machines at this price sit in the same bracket: E61 group, single vibratory pump, one PID controller, no app. Wendougee went a different way. They built the LITA BA around commercial-grade parts, a German WIKA pressure sensor, an Italian GICAR flow meter, a 316L saturated group head, and two independent vibratory pumps, and wrapped them in a software layer that lets you shape pressure and flow curve by curve. The sections below walk through the specific parts that make the difference.

A look under the hood
Pull most espresso machines apart and you'll see why manufacturers prefer you don't. The Wendougee LITA BA invites you to look closer. Owners talk about its build the way people talk about a good mechanical watch: clean routing, honest materials, parts with real names attached, components chosen for how they'll age. This is what a machine looks like when there's nothing to hide.

Intuitive to use. Elegant to look at
This is an espresso machine designed for people who want real control without the overhead that usually comes with it. Every setting is where you expect it. Every piece of feedback is clear. When you want to steer the shot, you can. When you want the machine to handle the details, it does. The result is a kind of confidence at the bar, the sense that whatever you pull is going to land the way you meant it to. And because it looks the way it does, you'll want it on your counter long before you fall in love with how it brews.

FAQs
Please read our FAQs page to find out more.
Does the Wendougee LITA BA ship to the EU and EEA?
Yes. Vellutto ships the Wendougee LITA BA across the EU and EEA with insured carriers. Handling is 1–2 business days, transit 2–7 business days depending on destination.
What is the difference between the DATA S and the Wendougee LITA?
Both machines come from Wendougee's prosumer range, but they're aimed at pretty different users.
The DATA S is the serious one. Dual boiler, gear pump, and full pressure and flow profiling through the Wendougee E-bar app. The 1.8L steam boiler handles milk steaming without breaking a sweat — useful if you're pulling back-to-back drinks or working with larger jugs. The gear pump matters too: profiling curves come out smoother and more repeatable than anything a vibration pump can do, so if you're dialling in specific extraction shapes, this is the one. You can also plumb it straight into a filtered water line, which means no tank to refill.
The LITA is smaller, lighter, and more affordable. It uses dual vibration pumps and a 0.8L steam boiler — fine for one or two drinks at a time, but it'll run out of steam faster and isn't as thermally stable under load. What it does have that the DATA S doesn't: an onboard display and a control disc right on the group head, so you can tweak settings without pulling out your phone. It's also much kinder to a small kitchen counter.
Pick the DATA S for steam power, gear-pump profiling precision, and direct water plumbing. Pick the LITA if budget, footprint, or built-in on-machine controls matter more than raw capability.
Do I need a Wendougee grinder to use the LITA BA?
No — the LITA BA works with any grinder. That said, pairing it with a Wendougee grinder unlocks extra features through the E-bar app:
- Wendougee MILO II or MILO Play: you can save a grind size to each profile and recall it with a single tap in the E-bar app, so switching between beans or profiles doesn't mean re-dialling from scratch.
- Wendougee ARES: goes one step further and syncs the grind size automatically when you change profiles. It cuts dial-in time significantly, which is mostly a win in commercial settings where you're switching beans throughout the day.
Can a home user with no barista experience get results from the Wendougee Lita BA?
Yes. The Lita BA does not require barista training to operate. The physical controls are labeled and behave as expected. Saved brew profiles run without any app connection — select a profile, pull the shot. For users who want more control, the E-bar app exposes pressure curves, pre-infusion settings, and flow rate adjustment. Those features are there when you want them. They are not required to make good espresso.
How does the Lita BA maintain stable brew temperature?
The machine uses PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) temperature control on the brew boiler. PID continuously measures boiler temperature and adjusts heating to hold it at a set target, rather than cycling on and off around a threshold. The result is shot-to-shot temperature consistency. Target temperature is configured in the E-bar app.
What grinder should I pair with the Wendougee Lita BA?
the Wendougee MILO play is great choice it also work with the machine and inside the E-bar ecosystem.
What is max flow rate and how does the LITA BA control it?
Max flow rate is the upper limit on how much water the group can push through the puck per second. On the LITA BA it's set by a needle valve under a small access hole on top of the machine. Open the valve with a flat-head screwdriver to raise the limit, close it to drop it. Factory setting is 12 ml per second, which suits most workflows.
What pump does the LITA BA use?
Two quiet electromagnetic vibratory pumps working in a "dual-core" configuration. Two pumps allow flow-priority and pressure-priority profiling and faster pressure ramps than a single-pump machine.
What is included in the box?
- 58mm bottomless portafilter with wooden handle
- baskets
- Backflushing disc
- Shower screen brush
- Tablet / iPhone stand (handy for the E-bar app while you're dialling in)
- Tamper
- a milk jug
- a removable tablet stand
What is the water tank capacity on the Lita BA, and how is it refilled?
The tank holds 1.2 litres. It has a built-in float indicator so the water level is visible without removing the tank. To refill: lift the tank straight out from the top, fill at the tap, set it back. No draining required, no tools.
Can the Wendougee LITA BA replicate other machine profiles?
Yes, by taking the shot parameters off a Decent DE1, a Slayer, a La Marzocco, a Profitec Pro 800, or even a lever machine, and build the equivalent curve in the E-bar app, and run it on the Wendougee LITA BA.
What are the dimensions and weight of the Wendougee Lita BA?
Width: 26.1 cm. Depth: 38.6 cm. Height: 33.4 cm. Weight: 22 kg. The depth figure is the one to check before purchase 38.6 cm on a 60 cm worktop leaves a workable footprint, but less clearance than it sounds if a backsplash or shelving sits close behind. The weight makes this a stationary machine. Pick a spot.
Is the Wendougee LITA similar to the Decent espresso machine?
Both machines handle pressure profiling and flow control, but they get there through completely different engineering.
The LITA is built around traditional boilers with accurate temperature probes, so thermal stability comes from sheer thermal mass. It runs a dual silent vibratory pumps, which is quieter and than the normal vibratory pumps most machines use. And because it's a true dual boiler, you can pull a shot and steam milk at the same time.
The Decent DE1 uses thermoblock technology instead — water is heated rapidly on demand, right before it hits the group head. It runs two vibration pumps, one for cold water and one for hot. You can't brew and steam simultaneously on a DE1. What the Decent does give you that the LITA doesn't: temperature profiling through the shot, adjusting the brew temperature mid-pull.
So it comes down to what you care about: dual-boiler thermal feel, simultaneous brew and steam, and a dual vibratory pumps point toward the LITA. Mid-shot temperature control points toward the Decent.
What is flow profiling and how does it differ?
Flow profiling controls the amount of water per second rather than the pressure. As the coffee puck changes resistance during extraction, the pressure will rise and fall to maintain a constant flow rate. This can lead to more even extractions. In flow mode, the gear pump adjusts its speed to maintain the set flow rate. The principle is similar to what the Decent DE1+ does.
Which mode should I use pressure profiling or flow priority?
Honestly, it depends on the coffee and what you're chasing in the cup.
Pressure profiling is the intuitive choice if you've used a lever machine — you think in pressure phases, and that's what the curves look like. Flow profiling is often easier to dial in, because the pump quietly corrects for small grind inconsistencies that would otherwise throw off a pressure-based shot.
How long does the Wendougee LITA take to heat up?
Less then 10 minutes from cold to brew-ready, which is faster than most E61 machines. For best consistency, let it sit a couple of minutes longer after it hits temperature so the group head and portafilter fully stabilise before your first shot.
Can I share espresso profiles with other Wendougee LITA users?
Yes. The Wendougee E-bar app includes a Community tab where users upload and download profiles, so beginners can pull up recipes from experienced baristas instead of dialling everything in from zero.
One thing to be realistic about: downloading a profile won't give you someone else's exact shot. Grinder, beans, water, and ambient conditions all push the result around, so a shared profile is a head start you'll still need to tweak the grind and probably adjust a few parameters to make it sing on your setup.
Can the Wendougee LITA stop extraction by weight using a scale?
Yes. The LITA pairs with an external scale like BooKoo scale over Bluetooth and cuts the shot automatically when it reaches your target weight no watching the scale and reaching for the paddle.
Supported scales right now:
- BooKoo
- Acaia (not yet)
Can the Wendougee LITA firmware be updated?
Yes. The Wendougee E-bar app gets regular updates that add new features, and machine firmware is flashed through the same app — you don't need cables or a service visit.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions when an update runs. Don't unplug the machine or close the app partway through, or you risk bricking the firmware.
What problems does the Wendougee LITA solve, and why choose it?
Most of the LITA features map directly to specific frustrations home baristas run into. Here's how it handles them:
Inconsistent shots. The gear pump holds pressure steadily with real-time feedback, so shot-to-shot variation drops and your profiles actually become reproducible instead of lucky.
Not enough control over extraction. Choose pressure profiling or flow profiling, adjust the pump in fine increments, and build whatever curve you want pre-infusion ramps, pressure plateaus, declining tails. Every profile saves in the E-bar app and recalls with a tap.
The learning curve on manual machines. The E-bar app shows live pressure, flow, and temperature graphs while you pull, and lets you save what worked. Pair it with the MILO II grinder and Themis scale and you get a guided dial-in workflow that walks you through the process step by step.
Temperature swings. Two independent stainless-steel boilers, each with its own PID controller, handle brew and steam separately. Stability is on par with commercial machines.
Slow warm-up. About five minutes from cold to brew-ready — faster than most E61 machines in this category.
Loud, uneven pumps. The gear pump is much quieter than a vibration pump and gives smoother pressure transitions. In sound and feel, it's closer to a rotary.
Grinder and scale integration that doesn't really exist on most machines. Paired with the MILO II and the Themis, grind size syncs to each profile and the shot stops automatically at your target weight.
No way to learn from other baristas. The E-bar app has a community feed for uploading and downloading extraction curves. Starting from a proven profile is a lot friendlier than building from zero.
Cleaning. Programmable cleaning cycles, a three-way valve that makes backflushing simple, and a front-access drain on the steam boiler for routine maintenance.
What the LITA unlocks beyond fixing those problems:
- Room to experiment with profiles you can't build on a manual machine
- Actually getting what you paid for out of expensive beans
- Pulling extreme light roasts — the high-acidity Scandinavian-style coffees that most home machines struggle with
Do I need a tablet to use the LITA BA?
No — after a one-time setup with the free E-Bar app on any Android or iOS phone/tablet, the LITA BA runs standalone. Saved profiles load onto the Intelligent Disc and launch from there. Many owners report using the app only occasionally to dial in a new coffee.
What does the "Intelligent Disc" actually do?
The Intelligent Disc is the circular capacitive touch controller above the group, combined with a small display. It lets you scroll and launch any saved pressure or flow profile, adjust temperature on the fly, and read real-time pressure, flow and shot-time without opening the app.
Does the LITA BA do pressure profiling AND flow profiling?
Yes — but one at a time per profile. Each profile is either pressure-priority (you programe the bar curve and flow adapts) or flow-priority (you programe the ml/s curve and pressure adapts), with a needle valve capping maximum flow at 12 ml/s. You only can mix them when you design a profile.
Which grinder and scale pair with the LITA BA over Bluetooth?
Wendougee's own MILO Play and MILO II grinders pair through the E-Bar app, and BOOKOO's Themis Mini and Themis Ultra scales pair for stop-by-weight shots. Acaia Lunar is on the roadmap but is not currently supported. Third-party grinders work perfectly as dumb grinders; only the E-Bar ecosystem talks to the app.
How do I pull a shot by weight with a BOOKOO Themis?
Pair the Themis to the E-Bar app over Bluetooth, set a target yield (say 36 g) in the profile, tare with the empty cup on the drip tray, then push the play button. The machine cuts the pump automatically when the scale reports target weight.
Can I share or import profiles from other users?
The E-Bar app supports recipe download and saving of pre-configured flavour curves, based on the Grokipedia/app-store documentation of the Wendougee platform. Cross-user sharing works via profile files. The community is smaller than Decent's Diaspora, so profile libraries are still improving.
How loud is the LITA BA?
Electromagnetic vibratory pumps are quieter than a classic Ulka but noisier than the DATA S gear pump.
How does the LITA BA compare to the Lelit Bianca V3?
The Bianca V3 is a classic E61 dual-boiler with a mechanical paddle that varies flow analogue-style; the LITA BA is app-programmable pressure and flow with Bluetooth scale and grinder integration.
LITA BA vs Decent DE1 / DE1XL?
which should you buy? The Decent profiles pressure, flow AND temperature and has the strongest community (Diaspora). The LITA BA profiles pressure and flow only, but gives you a traditional dual-boiler architecture, a saturated 316L-stainless group and real steam power from a 0.8 L boiler, steaming the Decent cannot match without the add-on. the LITA is more premium as built quality however, the decent still give you better control specially temperature profiling.
LITA BA vs La Marzocco Linea Mini / Micra?
Linea Mini uses a saturated group, paddle pre-infusion and commercial pedigree, at roughly double the LITA BA's price. the Micra vs LITA direct shortlist. The LITA BA matches Micra on saturated group and dual-boiler architecture and adds programmable profiles the Micra lacks; the Micra wins on bump (rotary pump) and brand prestige.
What is the difference between LITA BR, LR, BA and LA?
The four-variant ladder decodes as: BR = 1 pump, pressure control, no hot water tap (entry). LR = 1 pump + hot water tap. BA = 2 pumps, adds flow-priority mode (this is the Vellutto version). LA = 2 pumps + flow-priority + hot water tap. All four share the dual-boiler, saturated-group, app-controlled platform. Currently BR and BA are the mainstream models in market.
Is the tablet included with the LITA BA?
No. The Wendougee-branded Android tablet is a paid accessory; the machine is designed to be driven from any Android or iOS phone or tablet you already own, using the free E-Bar app. Setup requires a phone or tablet once; day-to-day operation can be done entirely from the Intelligent Disc and paddle.
How often should I descale and backflush?
Daily: flush the group for 2–3 seconds and wipe the steam wand. Weekly: backflush with a blind basket and espresso-safe detergent (e.g., Cafiza). Every 3–6 months: descale the brew and steam boilers with a citric-acid or manufacturer approved descaler. Interval depends on water hardness — soft-water users at <50 ppm can stretch to 6 months.
Are spare parts available in the EU?
Yes, spare parts are available
How do I update firmware on the LITA BA?
Firmware updates are pushed through the E-Bar app over Bluetooth. When you open the app with the machine connected, it checks Wendougee's servers and prompts you to install any available update on the controller and connected peripherals.
